The Cat Pack has an array of additional services to cater for your event. All the services below may be added to your booking for a further fee to create that perfect evenings entertainment that suits your own personal specifications. Also available are alternative bands and shows.
Theme Shows
Looking for a theme night either musically or socially? The Cat Pack can adjust their set to match exactly your favourite big band styles. Like a little more Jools and a little less Frank, just let us know. We can incorporate a Rat Pack theme or even take you back to the golden age of swing with a mixture of Glenn Miller / Benny Goodman-style classics. How about all you lindy-hoppers and jitterbug jivers – fancy a complete set of swinging Basie performed in truly authentic style? Or how about getting a real taste of a high energy Brian Setzer Orchestra or Jools Holland gig? It’s all there to pick and choose as you wish. Theme nights can be great fun too so how about going that extra yard and adding a fun casino for that memorable Las Vegas-style evening to the backdrop of classic big band sounds? Or take a trip to the 1930’s Savoy Ballroom and learn to dance or simply watch and copy the ultra-cool moves of the finest lindy-hop dancers / instructors in the UK? We can even provide that ultimate show for larger events by adding comperes, comedians, themed waiters or indeed just about any other type of entertainer to complete that perfect event. DJ’s
The Cat Pack can provide one of the finest jumpin’ n’ jivin’ DJ’s around to carry on the theme of the band during your evening’s entertainment. Or indeed, we can provide almost any DJ to cater for whichever styles of music you desire – ideal at weddings for keeping everyone happy! Should you not require a DJ The Cat Pack are happy to provide background music between sets if required. Prices from £100.
Jive Instructors & Demonstrations
As previously mentioned, The Cat Pack can provide as an accompaniment to our show some of the finest jive, lindy-hop and jitterbug dance couples in the UK. You will be blown away by the highly exciting and talented moves displayed and provide that really authentic icing on the cake visually to compliment the band. Pre-arranged instruction classes may also be included so that everyone can join in the fun too! Prices from £150.
Support Bands
If you are a rock’n'roll / swing / jive club or indeed just looking for as much variation as possible for your evenings entertainment we can offer our rock’n'roll trio or quartet* as a support act to The Cat Pack, ensuring excellent value for money at an affordable price. Should you require something a little more laid back we can also provide our cocktail jazz trio or quartet* who can perform a selection of light tunes – ideal should you have guests to be wined, dined and greeted or require that relaxed ambience during a meal. All members are made up from within The Cat Pack therefore enabling you to cut out the hassle of booking third party acts. Prices from £150/trio, £200/quartet – only available in addition to booking The Cat Pack.
*The cocktail unit and rock’n'roll trio / quartet have separate repertoires and do not perform numbers from The Cat Pack set. The same applies to the smaller backing band unit who will only be required to perform the music as supplied by the act or arranger.
Backing
Are you a cabaret club that may require excellent sight-reading musicians to accompany supporting acts for The Cat Pack? We have first-rate backing musicians in the band with a wealth of theatre, summer season and cruise ship experience and even more, we have all the instrumentation required to cover standard pads. No need for the acts to bring along their backing tracks – their music can be sight read after a talk-through on the night or a pre-show rehearsal can be arranged as required. Prices available upon request.
Unique Musical Arrangements
Specific unique arrangements or transcriptions upon request to be performed by The Cat Pack at your event can be composed by one of the team of expert arrangers within the band. All we ask is a thorough specification of what is required and copies of any CD’s you may require transcribing or arrangements of tunes. This option may also be handy for cabaret club / multi-line up shows as The Cat Pack can provide the same for any acts should they require backing by the full, or part of* the band. Simply provide any backing tracks or dots and we will produce an arrangement exactly to your specifications. Please allow 5 days per musical item for this. Prices available upon request.
